Listen to Episode 22 of LibraryVoicesSC - Pamela and Katie sit down with Dr. Peter Duffy, head of the Master of Arts in Teaching program and Associate Professor in the Theatre and Dance department of the University of South Carolina, to discuss the play, "And the Flood Goes On..." that was performed for the first time November 4, 2016 at the State Library. The production is an hour-long composite play based on the accounts of South Carolina residents who experienced the flood of 2015 firsthand.

Come celebrate the start of summer by visiting the South Carolina State Library’s new Summer Reading art gallery, on display till July 31! This gallery contains original art by eight award-winning children’s authors and illustrators, including Denise Fleming, Peter Brown, Marc Brown, Bryan Collier, David Diaz, Brian Lies, and John Rocco. Most of the artwork was commissioned to celebrate StoryfestSC, an annual event meant to boost children’s literacy. Want to see the gallery? Visit the SCSL Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
