These publications provide citizens with crucial information about state government, including statistics, annual accountability reports, and data on a wide variety of topics related to the state.

Greenville Library System partners with SC Dept. of Commerce and others for launch of SC CODES

Greenville County Library System has joined forces with the South Carolina Department of Commerce and other area partners to tackle a critical employment gap in the state technology job market – the availability of skilled computer programmers.

The innovative approach of this new initiative, SC Codes Greenville (SC Codes), combines online learning, weekly in-person meetings and mentorship support to provide free, basic computer programming training to adults.

The 10th Annual Literacy Leaders Awards will be presented by the USC School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at 5:00 p.m. on September 8, 2016 at the South Carolina State Library, 1500 Senate Street, Columbia.  The awards go to individuals and/or groups that have had a statewide impact on literacy in South Carolina.
